Good basic bluetooth headset but hard to use
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Good value & compact
Cons: One button interface hard to use
This is a basic bluetooth headset that I bought to use with a Treo 650.
The cost is pretty reasonable and it comes with a charger that can be used with the Treo 650. This is a big plus for traveling.
Setting up the headset was fairly straight forward but I had to read the instruction manual.
The unit has one main button to control the headset and 2 small buttons on the side for volume. My main complaint is that the main control button is confusing to use because it does too much. It performs these functions: turning the unit on, turning it off, answer/hang up, redial, and a one time pairing function to enable use with the phone. The functions are controlled by what mode the phone is in and how long you hold the button. This can be confusing. E.g. if the phone is on, holding the button for a few seconds redials the last number; holding it longer turns off the unit. As you might guess you might think you've turned it off, when it fact you just dialed a number.
While this takes time getting used to, the headset does work (although the volume could be louder) and is a good value based on its price. It's also compact and the styling is conservative.
Overall I'm happy with it, but it requires patience to learn how to use it. ...
