Great Gadget

Pros: Very compact, software easy to use and set up

Cons: Not the greatest for indoor still shots ( no flash)

I bought this camera for the video feature and I must admit it is pretty good for taking video clips. The stll and video pictures are good outdoors but the lack of a flash makes indoor still pictures dark. Also indoors the camera must be kept perfectly steady while the still image is being created ( there is a 1 or 2 second lag). The tech support staff couldn't verify if this condition was normal and it wasn't until a co-worker bought one that I realized the lens speed was adjusting for indoor pictures. However as I mentioned this is not an issue outdoors. Indoors a well lit room is good enough for video. The included card can be upgraded and the software provided allows the user to create compilations of video collecions.
It s small enough to take anyplace and I like the fact that you can take both motion pictures or still by just hitting a switch. When you get home you can transfer everything to your PC. The sound quality is good too. The controls are easy to use and the diplay is good. I also want to mention that it doesn't eat up batteries.
It will not satisfy a serious photographer who wants high quality still images. But for the price the video function cannot be beat. ...
