Firefly--my return to JossVerse
Pros: Science fiction at its finest!
Cons: It is over and som eof the characters never got the chance to shine.
I got a late introduction to Firefly just this February, but it was love at first sight!
Firefly is sci-fi at its finest: it is plausible enough, it is different enough, and it takes us to a world that very much could be reality in 500 years.
Great characters were given life by great actors. While at first I found the idea of nine major characters strange, I found that they all contributed greatly to the show. I wish there had been more time for some of them (Book, Wash) to develop a little more!
The DVD's features are great. I especially loved the Easter Egg. ...

A Whole New World
Pros: Refreshing change from SG-1.
Cons: Can't think of any
I was a great fan of the original Stargate film, but didn't really get interested in SG-1 till ecently (thanks to reruns). However Atlantis proved to be different from the start! The refreshing new cast, the interesting new villains and the whole new storyline was built up nicely during the first season.
The strength of this show is really in the characters, some of whom (Weir, McKay) we have met in SG-1 already. And the Wraith... they are just cool! Well, as cool as villains go, that is. The international cast is also bringing variety and new life to this show.
I have been a fan of David Hewlett's since The Cube, and I have to say that he doesn't disappoint in this show either. ...
