Throw out your PacknPlay
Pros: lightweight, easy, portable, provides little one security of same environment anywhere
Cons: sleeping bag useless
Put your PacknPlay up for free on Craigslist and get a PeaPod. My husband current work situation has required us to live apart on weekends and after several trips lugging the old PacknPlay down several city blocks with overnight bag and 16 month old in tow, I bought a PeaPod. It has paid for itself over and over, and has been used almost every other weekend for the past 5 months. We had a problem with the first air mattress, but I called KidCo and they replaced it with no problem, no proof of purchase hurdles to jump or 50 questions to anwer -- just shipped me a new one free of charge, got it in 2 days. That mattress must have just been defective because we have not had a problem since and I've not seen any other similar complaints online anywhere. My son loves his "tint" and even climbs in himself when we tell him it's time for bed. My only complaint is the sleeping bag. My son is of an age when he's still all over the place when he sleeps rather than under covers, so it's useless to us, now.
We'll probably us it when he gets a little older. I would have prefered if KidCo made it with some sort of detachable and washable cotton bottom sheet. ...
