If you are concidering buying a monitor and can stand to pay a little extra, get this monitor it is definately worth it!
When comparing this monitor side by side in the store with other models, there is no comparison. This montior blows all the others out of the water with every conceivable feature. If you have seen this model in person you may have noticed the shiney surface of the screen and are wondering about glare, don't worry about that it doesn't affect anything. I haven't noticed any glare whatsoever that would distract you or cause eye strain. ... -

DCR-TRV38 Great camera a must have!
7 of 8 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: BIG 3.5 in LCD w/touch screen controls
Cons: Small battery
Great camera! a must have for all those who want an easy to use camera with more frills than they could possibly need. As for buying this camera I would not buy a camera from any of the low priced Yahoo stores. I called each of these stores (some are the same place with a different name) and asked if they had this camera in stock and was told they have to check. While they have some imaginary person check, they try to talk you into buying one of their kits, and when you say you just want the camera they'll tell you they're sold out. I would recommend checking Ebay, but watch out these same stores are there as well. I bought mine from a gentleman who had one and only one for sale and at a good price. Look around, saving over $200 off retail is worth it in the long run! as well as the accessories.
Now for the camera itself, the BIG! 3.5 in. LCD is stunning, combine that with the touch screen controls makes it easy to see why this camera has been in the top five for many months. The lightning fast zoom is awesome for those of us who like that kind of thing, this is not to everybodies liking I'm told. The 10X optical zoom is nice, but I recommend the 20X digital setting because the clarity is still really good and you get the added length. With the zoom set at 120X digital, the image is really grainy and it's hard to keep it still since every little movement is amplified by that much, you need a tripod for that power. The video image is great but the still shots are just ok, but for a video camera they're not bad. I do recommend getting a bigger battery (NP-QM71 is fine), an off brand battery can be purchased on Ebay for around $30 and works fine. Also I recommend Lexar Media memory sticks they're great and work as good if not better than Sony's and they're 1/4 the price. I picked up a 64MB Lexar stick for $23 on Ebay, your price could obviously be different. You'll also want a memory stick reader, I purchased a Lexar Media "Jump Drive Trio" for $20 locally. Don't be confused and buy the "Jump Drive Pro" this isn't going to work. The "Trio" is a reader compatible with 3 different types of media sticks. The "Pro" is a hard case memory version without a removable memory stick. I hope this helps, I'm still playing with mine and I'm as happy as a clam in water! ...
Great washer
Pros: High Efficiency
Cons: none known
I just bought this washer with the matching dryer. I had to buy a new washer in a pinch when my old washer puked oil and water on the floor from underneath. So in a slight hurry, since I was in the middle of doing laundry and needing clean clothes I did some hurried shopping around for a new set immediately. This washer and dryer was the most bang for my buck that I found. I definately wanted stainless steel tubs in both and as many bells and whistles as I could afford. So having done my shopping around and comparing, this is the brand and model I chose. After I bought it I figured I'd see what others had to say about it. I found nothing but nay sayers and bad experiences so needless to say I was not too happy. But I not one to put a whole lot of faith in reviews too much anyway. So I figured I'd find out for myself!
Once the pair arrived I proceeded to install them by first redirecting the dryer duct out the side for my application and add the power wire (which by the way is extra because it depends on your service as to whether you need a 3 prong or 4 prong plug). Having installed my 3 prong plug I plugged it in and connected the vent tube. The washer was much simpler to hook up, a couple hoses and plug it in.
Here's where the difference occurs and why so many women that I read, trash talked this model. I believe they did not read or even realize this is a High Efficiency (HE)washer and uses less water and detergent. They complained the water level wasn't high enough and there clothes had soap powder residue all over. Then there was one that said it just didn't clean her large load well. This does not operate like the old style washers. Maybe if they just read the manual they would have no problem like I did. This washer does a very good job at cleaning clothes...if you read the manual and follow the directions on how to use an "HE" washer you will like it too! ...
