Pros: Easier than manually sketching movies frame-by-frame.
Cons: Constant, erroneous "copyright" blocking of old home movies.
This device is horrible. It incorrectly reads "copyright information" and I have to use workarounds just to transfer old home videos to DVD. When I contacted Sony they insisted that I must've been trying to copy copyrighted material. I wasn't, but now I'm motivated to copy and distribute every purchased DVD I own that would cost Sony money.

Also, because of Sony's 'child-proofing'
I used to love Sony products, but with each passing year they get harder to love. Their customer service is arrogant and rude anytime you have a problem other than something that can be solved by the drones in Malaysia with their customer service scripts.
Beware of "expert" reviews - they are often shills whose livelihoods rely on the sales/ad revenues of the companies which produce/distribute the very products they are reviewing.
