A Waste of Money on a Waste of a Game
Pros: The Curling Game is Fun
Cons: Everything Else
If you really, really liked the 2002 Winter Olympics (and more specifically, winter sports), then you might possibly get a little enjoyment out of this game. The curling game is probably the only real entertaining aspect of this game.
Almost everything else is a laughable effort at making a video game. The graphics, commentary, and music are truly terrible and the controls in most of the sports events are oddly arranged and trivial and has almost nothing to do with the sport involved. There is no motivation to really acheive success in any of the sports involved.
This game gets boring really fast and is a complete waste of time and money. ... -

A Great Fighting Game
Pros: Long lifespan if you try to unlock everything.
Cons: It's not anything more than a fighting game.
Soul Calibur II is the epitome of fighting games and will keep you occupied for hours and hours on end. The Weapons Master mode (story) is really engaging and the drive to acquire all the weapons and costumes (and characters) is quite motivating and never really dies (until you acquire them all). Trying to learn everyone's moves, especially the cool ones, is challenging and takes lots of time (which is a good thing).
However, Soul Calibur II really shines in the multi-player department (2-player) with the ability to use acquired weapons/costumes, go character vs. character, or team (collection of characters) vs. team. The lifespan of this game never dies with multi-player.
The only possible critique is that this won't appeal to those who don't enjoy fighting games. There's nothing "extra" to this game; there's just the fighting. ... -

Great Game for Fans; Less for the Hardcore Gamers
Pros: Lots of Weapons; Multiplayer
Cons: Short & Simplistic Storyline; Okay Graphics
Star Fox Assault is a great game for those who follow the Star Fox series and for the occasional gamer who wants some quick fun but probably won't interest hardcore gamers and/or people who want a really long and involved game. The graphics are better than average but not stellar; ditto for music. The story/mission mode is far too short and can be easily completed in less than ten hours although the storyline is fairly entertaining. Missions themselves aren't really complex but are definitely fun while they last. The multitude of weapons and vehicles add lots of variety: blaster, machine gun, rocket launcher, grenades, mines, Gatling gun, sniper rifle, jet packs, motion-activated rockets, tanks, Arwings (air fighter), and Wolfens (air fighter), amongst a few others. Multi-player is pretty fun and extends the game's life span as long as you can find somebody else (or many people) to play along/against with you.
In the end, it comes down to whether you are a die-hard Star Fox fan or want something to keep you entertained and busy for hours on end. But for $20.00; it's not a bad deal. ...
A Sturdy All-in-One Printer
Pros: Compact Yet Sturdy
Cons: Noisy, "Chooses" Whether to Print in B/W or Color
Great Aspects:
The price of this HP printer (or almost any HP PSC All-in-One) makes it very good value. There is nothing incredibly spectacular about its features but it prints, scans, and copies with good quality and is very easy to use as well as being pretty compact.
However, the printer is kind of noisy and somewhat slow. You can only load 50 sheets of paper at a time (not a problem for most people although more is probably better). On some HP PSC All-in-One versions, the user cannot select the color palette for printing (black/white versus color); instead, the printer "decides" which it should use. Users are able to decide between black/white or color copies.
This is a solid printer for the average person who needs to occasionally scan/copy documents and photos; a truly ideal dorm room printer. This printer isn't for heavy useage or extreme quality. The price is very good and potential buyers should shop around for the cheapest price. ...
