Choice for our second digital camera
Pros: picture quality and easy to use
Cons: shutter lag
After acquiring the Kodak Z740 for my business, and being very impressed, I purchased the Z700 for my wife's camera.
The picture quality for home use approaches professional and there is sufficient manual control to really be creative.
However, the point and shoot in the auto mode is just right for those occasions in which you simply want to take good pictures.
Instructions are well written and the camera doesn't take a teckie to learn to use.
We also like the re-charging dock that the EasyShare system employs. Add to that the print capable dock (which you can take when you travel) and Kodak has scored a grand slam. ... -

Great home printer, yes, HOME printer
4 of 4 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Ease of use, print quality, easy to wireless network
Cons: b/w is a bit slow
When we compared the higher end inkjet printers and the cost of ink in terms of pages, the logical choice was a color laser printer.
After reviewing the stats, and learning why HP chose a single pass print system (why the b/w is slower compared to other units), we installed the HP2600n for our home wireless network.
True, the initial cartridge price seems steep, but when you consider through-put and the cost per page its really quite affordable for home use. We've found the print quality both b/w and color to be much better than most inkjet printers.
We have installed a wireless printer adapter and now enjoy the benefits of a total home wireless system.
Sitting on the patio sipping a cool drink while working on the laptop and being able to produce letters or reports remotely is a true joy, (the print station is in the basement). ...
Very Satisfied, Excellent Camera

Cons: shutter lag is a bit long sometimes
After waiting for nearly a year to decide what camera to replace our old digital (not even a mexapixel), I purchased the Kodak Z740 with print dock.
Equipping it with a 1 gig memory card releases the creative freedom to simply experiment, shoot pictures and get some dynamic shots!
Battery life is very good and Kodak gives you the option of either the standard display or the power saving viewfinder. Using the viewfinder (all your displays are in there) saves battery life by a factor of 20.
The unit is very easy to download to your home computer or the print stand at your local supermarket and the picture quality is excellent.
This camera is best for users who fall into that catagory of better than amateur but not quite professional. The Z740 gives you total control of the shot - or, simply point and shoot - either way the output is excellent. ...
