iPod touch (basically an iPod nano on steroids!!!)
58 of 75 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Absolutely crystal clear display, 2x storage of iPhone and nano, WiFi, and excellent maneuverability
Cons: no phone, no camera (but hey, my BB pearl works just fine regarding those features, and so should ur phone!)
For those who want a sensible phone which does not require having to pay a minimum $60/month (up to $100/month) like the iPhone...there's the iPod touch! I got mine yesterday afternoon, and can't believe how jawdroppingly stunning it is. Sure, there's no phone on it, AND there's no camera on it...but it's one helluva iPod (I mean, isn't that why u buy an iPod in the first place, for music and video)! Paying $399 for a 16 gig may be steep for some, but if you think about it, you're basically paying the same price as 2 iPod nano's and the touch is about as skinny (the 16 gig I got is just a tad thicker than the nano, AMAZING). What other player offers such a crisp display (perfect for on-the-go movie watching). If you can bear to spend a little time carefully sync-ing what you NEED on your iPod (rather than dumping on your entire collection), then touch is for you! I've easily sync-ed about 4.5 hours of video and about 2000 songs, with plenty of space to spare. Features seem to be excellent...no problems with the playback, WiFi is an added bonus, and the display makes you want to cry (a safe distance away from the display). I've heard rumors of a 32 and possibly 64-gig touch, but that may require getting rid of flash memory (another iPod touch plus) and by the way...16-gigs of flash memory doesn't come cheap, at least $100 if ur lucky...so if you're willing to part with the phone and camera, then iPod touch is for you! ...
