This has to be the best "coming-of-age" film ever made...at least for teenage girls in puberty!
Sam Wasterson was very convincing as a southerner and Reese made an incredible debut.

Story is Great...movie is ok
Of course, being a Christian, the story IS the greatest ever but, the film lacks Biblical accuracy and some of the acting is a but 'hammy'.

This is one of the best family films since, 'The Sand Lot'!
