I'm not a big fan of Will I Am, so that song with him on it is my least favorite song on the cd. Other than that, it is a great piece of work. I really, really like it. I'm not one to buy hip hop cd's on the reg, so for me to go out and get this is an indication to Common's talent. Recognition for him is long overdue. ...

Another great one from a great artist!
Pros: Honest, self reflective, positive messages.
Cons: Can be overly folky.
There are some fabulous songs on this cd. I'm fond of nos. 2, 4, 6, 11, the interludes and most especially 15. The cd is worth the buy just on that track. When I first got the cd, I listened to each track from the beginning and was just like...eh, it's ok, some pretty cool songs. But when I got to no. 15, omg! I can barely play the rest of the cd. #15 stays on repeat. I Choose. The bombay, baby. ...

The Most Awesome Cd Since Lauryn Hill's Cd

This cd is the most outstanding cd I've heard in a loooooong time. From day one I was hooked. The songs...omg. The songs are so real...the lyrics...the music. Everything. I am at a loss of words when it comes to this great piece of work. Mary has really outdone herself on this one. It is by far her best cd ever to date. No question about it. And that U2 duet, on fire! At first I didn't like it..but after I listened to the words of the song, lertimercy, I was hooked. She really and truly rocked it on that cut. Everytime I listen to the cd, I find that I fall in love with yet another song that I wasn't initially in love with. lol. The first 4 cuts I loved off the bat along with tracks 6, 9, and 10. But now, I'm so feeling tracks 8, 11, and the last one. If you haven't gotten this cd, sleep no more. ...

I like Jill. I do. I'm just not at that point where I want to keep it playing non stop in my truck like I have with Mary J. Blige's 'The Breakthrough'. That cd has yet to leave the rotation in my truck...that's how damn good it is/was. This cd by Jill...it's got some great ditties on it, no doubt...but somewhere around, after 'My Love' I begin to get bored for a minute. I don't know...it's still early/new yet...I'ma hafta give it a few more listens. As far as the songs with the suggestive lyrics...in my opinion it takes away from what could have been a really classy piece. One suggestive tune would have sufficed. ...
