This book captivated me from begining to end and long after i was put the book down. The scenes and the characters were illustrated as real as a movie. This book covers romance, friendship, struggles, and murder and everything in between. There is no boring or dry parts in this book, it even has a bit of humor.
Its about a boy in the great depression who was finacially cut off from college due to his parents' deaths and he didn't know where to turn but almost by accident got aboard a train for the traveling circus! The other half of the book is when the boy is nintey three years old in assisted living wondering where all the time has gone, this part is more witty and even funny.
This book will probaly make a great movie but i hope it doesn't turn into one, becuase this book is too perfect to be ruined by actors and sets. the imagery of novel is movie enough. great read ...
