homeworld
The homeworld game has earned it's reputation of best game of the year 1999. I just recently purchased it and have been totally overwhelmed by the depth of the game play. I've played C&C (orignal and red alert), Warcraft, Starcraft, Age of Empires II, Lords of the Relm II, Civ II, among others. The total 3-D environment (from outside a cockpit) was absoluty exciting. The ability to pounce my forces from above or below onto an enemy strike force was the best feeling for a long time in gaming, the ultimate end-around. This game is a must have for a RTS gamers. I have yet to play Cataclism, but it will be hard to improve on the original. ...
