I Feel Bad About My Neck...& the end of this book
Pros: Starts very funny...things most women can relate to
Cons: Should have ended about three chapters before it did
Overall, I would expect a much funnier, more interesting book from the author given that she has written some of my favorite screenplays ("When Harry Met Sally" and "Sleepless in Seattle").
The book starts of amusing and actually evokes quite a few LOL moments. However, it appears that the author runs out of things to say about three chapters before the end of the book.
Overall, a decent book, but I think I'll stick with watching her movies instead from now on. ... -

Good in SPITE of Tom Cruise
Pros: Non-stop action and great tech gadgets
Cons: Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise, while very annoying and quite possibly certifiable, did not ruin this movie for me. I always loved the MI TV series and the theme song alone is enough to get anyone going. However, the movie was well done and only had a few holes. Not bad considering the star of the show.
It never gives you a second to breathe...which is a good thing. Non-stop action and tons of cool gadgets that will remind many of the MI TV series, Inspector Gadget, and James Bond all rolled into one.
I enjoyed the movie, in spite of Cruise. ... -

Tyler Perry does it again
Pros: Another brilliant look into Tyler Perry's Madea
Cons: None
I have been a fan of Tyler Perry's plays and movies for awhile. His characters, especially Madea, can be so true to life and larger than life all at the same time.
This book, a deeper dive into Madea's psyche and what she thinks about most everything, is another great addition to Mr. Perry's body of work.
I will continue to buy everything this man produces as I have never been disappointed in him or his work. He is truly gifted and blessed and knows exactly how to speak to us...all of us...no matter what our skin color. ...

Heartburn...great idea...too many recipes
Pros: For anyone that's caught a cheating spouse or otherwise divorced, very real
Cons: Too many recipes
Yes, OK, I realize that the author who speaks in the first person is a cook and the character is as well, however, there are way too many recipes in this book. I expected to read a book about the turmoils of a cheating spouse and the inevitable divorce...and of course life afterwards. I did not, however, realize that I was going to have to wade through a plethora of recipes to get to those moments.
Overall, a decent book. However, I will stick to watching her movies from now on. ...
