Disappointing Phone

Cons: Bad engineering
I bought this phone from amazon and have had it for 3 months now. I was quite excited when I got the phone because it has a sleek design and is lightweight. However, my troubles started within the first week. First of all, the battery life on this phone is pathetic. The specs are 3.5 hrs talk time and 6 days stand-by time. I have never gotten more than 2 hrs of talk time and the battery drains out within a day if left uncharged. Initially I thought that my set was faulty but after talking to a friend and reading online reviews, I discovered that others also face the same problem.
Lately, I've been experiencing a more irritating problem. There is a lot of static while I talk. While I can hear conversation, the other person cannot hear a thing. I went to the Verizon store and they have agreed to replace the instrument, so I am waiting for the new one. Incidentally they ran out of this particular model, since they had replaced 5 then same day. I would recommend that one should check google for "Motorola V265 static". Apparently I am not the only one experiencing this. I am quite apprehensive about the replacement. Should have ordered the Nokia 6015i :-( Whats the use of all the jazzy features when a phone cannot serve its basic purpose ? ...
