Way too much $$$

performance/ usabilty Way too much bloatware, slows it way down. Vista will use up ALL the RAM, so you will need more RAM.
Delete most of the bloatware pre-loaded on this box and it will speed things up. Boot time can be cut down to 7 minutes or so. It was at 21 mins. ... -

If this is like all the other Lenovo laptops, it will be sooooo full of 'bloatware' it will take 10 to 20 minutes to boot up and be usable. Then one will spin an extrordinary amount of time clicking 'OK' to the hundreds of little popup windows that are asking the user if they REALLY want this next program to run. Vista and Symantec will drive you crazy with questions. Save some money and get a Dell or Acer.
Also, most Lenovos only have 1GB of RAM. Vista uses all that and more. Without a pagefile on the disk, it gets very slow. I saw a Dell the other day with 4GB of RAM with all the other bells and whistles for around $400.

Glorified DVD player
Pros: Warranty?
Cons: slowness
A piece of junk!
20 to 30 minutes to boot up to be usable.
Runs hot, cooling fan runs LOUD.
Audio speakers are non-exixtant. Had to buy add-on speakers first thing.
Get a cheaper Acer or Dell...
They all do the same things and paying twice the price is NOT worth it.
I use it mostly for playing DVDs on the road. ...
