wow
when i heard this i was amazed. i didn't think anyone from non-european countries could play black metal this well. and christ, they're on metal blade, which adds to my amazement. anyway, as for the album, the first two songs are average, but after that every song is phenomenal. anyway, enough of this, if you like black metal or metal in general, definetely check these guys out. ... -

it's different. people change, styles change. as long as they keep the quality where it should be, which in this case they do, they can write anything they please. great album. ... -

great stuff
a friend of mine recommended this band to me, now i feel like i owe him too much. this is a great album, and it proves beyond a doubt that metal can be beautiful. my personal favorites are Bleak, Harvest, and The Drapery Falls. and Patterns In The Ivy may only be a two-minute-segue, but that one might do more for me than any other on here. i can't wait to pick up the rest of their stuff. ... -

the coil
i pretty much came upon this album by accident, and am i glad i did. i recommend this to all gothic rock / doom metal fans. in addition, cristina's voice is absolutely beautiful, and hearing her sing is well worth picking this up. personal favorites are Heir Of A Dying Day, Purify, Senzafine (both arrangements, they are different), 1:19, Cold Heritage, Distant Sun, Halflife, Hyperfast and Stars. this beautiful stuff and i hope this band gets some recognition soon. ... -

there's nothing to say. these guys just continue to outdo themselves with every album they release. just get this now. i was going to list my favorite songs, then i realized i'd just be writing the tracklist over again. and if you can find it, get the bonus disc, the interview takes nearly the whole disc and is really interesting and informative. ... -

nice
this is good stuff, one of the better relapse bands i've heard. and "vomit you out" is such a cool song title... some songs do sound similar, but if you listen closely enough there is quite a difference. but i don't know where the hell they came up with that similar artist list.... ... -

....
WOW. that's all that can be said.
sonata arctica
this is quite possibly the best metal band in music today, which is a ballsy statement. but this album is one of the best i've heard in along time, and i've never anything they've done sound bad (hell, they even made "the wind beneath my wings" listenable.) that's over 2 albums and 2 mini-cds. and i've never heard anyone play that fast and sound so relaxed. it's just unbelievabl, check it out if you like any kind of metal. ...
