No more point and shoot!
2 of 2 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Instant on, focus and shoot.
Cons: Only 6.1 mega pixles
This camera is amazing. Someone said maybe consider the D70 but I have a friend that has the D70 and my D50, smaller and lighter, performs just as well. If you really want more just get the D80 or the D200.
An example of why to by a DSLR:
My family was trying to take a picture of the grand parents and the 6 grand children, from ages 2 months to 9 years old, and all of the point and shoot cameras were waiting and waiting to get the right picture and they missed it. As where I was taking 2.8 pictures per second I caught the perfect one and some really funny ones too that point and shoots just can't get.
Also if you are planning on having a baby I would recommend this camera, or any Nikon DSLR, because you will never miss a moment. My point and shoot camera too so long to turn on let alone turn on focus and shoot. Even just the focus in indoor lighting was too slow. Now I don't miss a thing. My wife, who never thought she would like this "Big" camera, loves it. We have over 5,000 pictures in 3 months.
I would recommend getting a better lens. After much debate I ended up with the 18-135 Nikkor lens. I tried out my friend’s 80-400 VR lens to see if the VR was worth the extra $500 for the 18-200 VR, I discovered it was not. From 80-200 I notice no difference in my ability to shoot but I did notice in the 300-400 range that I could use the VR.
Now as for my only con, 6.1 mega pixels, I would like to have the 10+ from the D80 because I would like to crop or zoom in on objects in picture. The 6.1 allows me to do it but not as much as 10 would. I really don't care about big posters but the ability to crop a photo and not lose any quality is nice.
Hope this helps. ...
Nice Vacuum

Cons: A little heavy
We have a Jack Russell that loves to shed. We have never been able to get all of the hair up off the carpet. Now that we have a baby that crawls all over the floor we really notice the hair. We decided we were going to get the Dyson Animal until we got to Home Depot, we had a discount coupon. We saw the Bissell, which was $300 less than the Dyson, so I did a search from my phone and noticed it had more good reviews than bad ones so we took a shot at it. Saved $300!
We got it home and it was easy to assemble. I took my dog and started playing with him and petting him in one area, looked real close at all the hair on the carpet, rubbed it in a little and vacuumed. All but 2 hairs were gone. AMAZING! We vacuumed the whole room and let our baby crawl all over with dark pants on and guess what, NO HAIR all over him. LOVE IT!
Now we did read how it was not the best to empty and people got the waste it all over themselves, my wife included. I advise everyone to read the directions. I love the one button release for the bottom, but if you have a lot of carpet fibers or really light particles you had best use the two button approach. Basically you can remove the whole canister and dump it in the trash, like most bagless vacuums.
As for the weight; it is a little heavy but for $300 less and the pet hair removal ability I think we can stand a few extra pounds.
I do wish, and maybe I haven't looked hard enough, they had the low profile attachment to get under our beds and low furniture but again I can live without it.
We give it an "A" and the only reason it's not an "A+" is becuse of the weight and no low profile attachment. ...
