The Hours is a very powerfull movie you should by the dvd. Nicole Kidman's oscar winning role as Virginia Woolf was very good nobody could have done it except her. Julianne Moore in her oscar nominated role as Laura Brown a 1950's housewife reads this book: Mrs.Dalloway and it changes her life the book is by Virginia Woolf. Meryl Streep plays the role of Clarissa Vaughn a lesbien in New York is inlove with her friend Richard a poet who is dying of aids. Ed Harris in his oscar nominated role plays a gay poet who is dying of aids and is the son of Laura Brown in the movie. Three different lives at three different times but all conected. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. ...

North Country
Pros: Great casting, strong story
Cons: None
So hard to believe this storyline actually happened less than twenty years ago...truly appalling.
Charlize Theron portrayed her part flawlessly and the movie was careful not to man-bash so its definitely not a chick-flick. The assault and rape scenes were hard to watch but the end of the movie made me want to stand up and cheer for all the women out there who paved the way so that we can go to work and not have to worry about being sexually harrassed. Francis McDormand was absolutely incredible in the movie and the entire cast was perfectly put together to make the movie very believable.
I laughed, I cried, Id see it again. ...
