Pros: compact design

Cons: lack of controls

Pryor to owning my toshiba I owned a Panasonic and a aidiovox portable dvd player. picture is great on toshiba but so was it on the other two. the Toshiba doesn't have all the controls the others have on the base unit more features on the remote. The first day the remote was left in my van it came unglued. You can't access alot of features without the remote just basic functions. One freature it lacks that the other two had is the ability to show a movie on the unit as well as out the av jacks at the same time. You have to switch between one or the other. My Panasonic unit was stolen in house burglary, the Audiovox has been replaced by the factory and the replacement unit has the same glich the first one did won't play three quarters of my Dvd's with out stopping or freezing up costanly. It does have a great picture but can't use both at once because of the lack of the feature on the Toshiba. Toshiba is a bit noisy when it is skipping chapters but it does the job well. I rate the unit merily average. ...
