Perfect for Close-up pics

Cons: shutter lag
A friend of mine has this kind of camera and we played around with it. Apparently the images are really good; I find them crisp and well-colored. But why does it take around a second for the shutter to take a picture?
The modes are nice to play around with, and the LCD display is a big turn on. I really love this camera... the shutter just bugs me. ...
A Must-Have
4 of 5 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Image quality, design, functions, modes, vivid colors, easy navigation
Cons: occasional out-of-focus shots during digital macro shots, no shake reduction [visible to me]
Its sleek design doesn't do it justice. Although the 3.0x Optical Zoom isn't such a big deal, as more and more cameras with more than 5.0x Optical Zoom lenses are being manufactured everyday, it does produce shots so vivid that digital pictures look even better than the real subjects!
The 3-inch LCD monitor is probably one of the biggest craze in the external part of the camera, but I find the buttons the biggest craze. It takes some getting used to, probably after two hours of fiddling around with it. With me it took me the same time to understand what everything meant, and by two in the morning, I was already taking pictures of anything that has color.
Internally, there is so much to play around with. There is the macro display, which enables the photographer to take close up shots with vivid colors. Another one is the color accent, wherein the photographer can get a certain color from his subject, and that color will be the only one present while the everything is will be black and white.
Easy navigation, great auto-focus, auto-rotation, vivid colors and image quality make up for its occasional out-of-focus "moments" whenever I use the digital macro function. At first I didn't like the shutter lag, via other reviewers, but after using the camera, I didn't even notice the lag. I thought it was a big problem.
I only wish there was a shake reduction in this camera... or maybe there is, and I haven't found it yet. ...
