Take THAT, Gran Turismo!
Take the fun of Gran Turismo, mix in some seriously souped up cars, throw in the ability to put in your own background music, and add a dash of kick butt graphics and you've got Project Gotham Racing.
With jaw dropping graphics and simply awesome gameplay, this is by far the best racing game produced to date. (Although the 80's classic arcade game "Pole Position" is a close second for me personally)
PSX owners will quickly point out the lack of cars as compared to Gran Turismo, but seriously, if you've played GT, exactly how many 80hp rice burners do you need before you get to the serious cars? I couldn't care less if I have a Hyundai in my garage....Give me a Ferrari anyday. The developers for Project Gotham Racing know what kind of cars we want, and doesn't waste our time clogging the game w/a billion junk cars.
And don't forget the awesome camera angles...this game's got it all. ... -

I agree.....
This game rocks for sheer fun. The gameplay is a bit repetetive, but then again, so was Duke Nukem, Doom, Quake & Unreal. Kill, get fragged, and get rezzed. Now repeat that about a million times.....you get the idea.
But that's what made those games so much fun to play...you know what to expect and the graphics absolutely make it look like you're playing in Dr. Seuss' worst nightmare. Great game!! ... -

Only gave it a 4-star rating because....
the gameplay isn't quite the same as the original. Granted, the object of the game hasn't changed, but for fans of the original Galaga, they might be a little disappointed that the game developers used a well-known classic video game name to sell an all-different kind of game. Compare this to the Namco company using the Pac-Man name to develop all sorts of gawd-awful Pac-Man related games in the mid-80's to early 90's and you'll understand what I mean.
Having said that, however, the game still is a heck of a lot of fun to play and the graphics are super. ... -

One of the games that started it all....
An incredible update to the timeless classic that helped start the video-game revolution. Space Invaders might seem like a boring game to today's jaded youth, but you absolutely have to respect it's simplicity and addicting gameplay. ... -

One of the best games for the PS
Hands down one of the best platform games for the PS. Great action, very fluid graphics, and wonderful sound to round out the title.
The learning curve for the controls is probably a half-hour, but once you learn it, it makes the game one of the best you've ever played. ... -

Got the PC version
This game is purely awesome for retro-videogame fans. If you grew up playing these games, you will thoroughly enjoy this title. I absolutely plan on getting this as soon as it's released. No question about it! ... -

Whatever dude...
Either the previous reviewer didn't grow up in the early-mid 80's or he just didn't get how revolutionary this game was when it was first released.
I've been a huge fan of interactive cartoon/live action film video games. This was one of the pioneers in that game genre, and I'm proud to give it 5 stars for all the memories this game has given me over the years...even if it WAS the first 50 cent game I had ever seen! LOL ... -

Good game, but not quite the same......
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful Good game, but it's not quite the same as playing it in the arcade, if you can find it anymore.
The whole gimmick of the game was that the players on the screen appear to "float" on the glass through clever usage of a concave mirror in front of the monitor below the joystick controls inside the game cabinet.
With this version, however, the players appear on your screen just like any other video game. If they're going to start releasing vintage video games again, I'd like to see something like TRON or Zaxxon....or maybe both! :) ...
Best Palm OS PDA out there
25 of 26 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: LOTS of features
Cons: No video capabilities with built-in camera
After being made aware of all the features this PDA has when compared to it's price, this is by far and away the best buy out there right now. The camera is great for taking impromptu pictures, but a portrait camera it is not. It did come in very handy, however, when I took my daughter to Disneyland....lasted ALL day. Be sure to give the camera a few seconds to adjust to the light level...Great for indoor shots too.
The built-in MP3 player and hi-resolution color display is fantastic. It does very well on battery life, although I wouldn't recommend using the external speaker for too long, as I've found this is the biggest battery drainer.
My only suggestion for improvement is they could somehow put a "reset" pin built into the stylus or something, as I have on a few occasions had the unit lock up on me and I was not able to reset the unit because I couldn't find anything small enough to fit through the little hole.
If you're looking for your first PDA, this is a fantastic place to start. Very user friendly, good styling, intuitive interface and an overall terrific value. ...
