Not Great
This album is, suprisingly, even to me, not nearly as amazing as "Bleed American" or as everyone seems to say it is. Many of the songs drag on too long, especially the last track. The songs have either a slow or moderate tempo, and otherwise sound kind of the same. "To Me This Is Heaven" is good, and some of the others are good, but I honestly don't know which are which other than that one, because they all sound the same. Jimmy Eat World is a great band, and this is still a good record, but it can't even compare to Bleed American. I was very disappointed by this album. ... -

Very different
Pavement has a very interesting sound. Very experimental. Anyone who doesn't like this album probably has a problem with unique music. I highly recommend it. standouts are "Cut Your Hair", "Stop Breathing" and "Hit The Plane Down". ... -

Quality
I've never heard any of Jimmy Eat World's old albums, but I think this one is phenomenal. It's extremely emo, but more rock at the same time. I just don't get why anyone would say this album seems like it has too much pop filler on it. The songs are very meaningful and well crafted, with possible exception of "The Authority Song", which I can't quite figure out. But the rest is awesome. Standouts include "A Praise Chorus", "Your House", "If You Don't, Don't", and my favorite, "Cautioners". "Sweetness" sticks out also, for it's 80's influence. But every song is awesome, so buy this album. ... -

Amazing record
I just bought this album a couple of days ago, and I was totally blown away by it. The songwriting is superb. Standouts are "I've Changed", "Gravity", "Dutch Wonderland", and my favorite, "Camera One". This is an all around great album. ... -

Good for a 13 minute EP
AKA IDIOT is a good EP, though not as good as the full length, "Veni Viddi Vicious". The songs are short, up-tempo and catchy. The hives are truly the cardinals of cool. ... -

Amazing
This album is absolutely great from start to finish. Listening to this record is like visiting some beautifully dark world for forty-seven minutes. The songs flow together perfectly, the music is original, and the lyrics are amazing, with vocal delivery to match. All the songs are great, but the standouts are "Drowning", "I'm A Monster", "Miseryhead", "Bleed", and the absolute best, "Dancing Alone". But every song is truly amazing. From the crescendo that starts "Fallen Souls" to the melancholy acoustic guitar that ends "As I Wander", this is one of the greatest CD's I've ever listened to. I only wish people would appreciate music for what it is instead of writing it off as a corporate rip-off just because it sounds like one of their favorite musicians/groups. Finally, I'd just like to say that Ours is much better than Jeff Buckley. ... -

One Of The Greatest Records of All Time
I had to re-review this album, as my old one does it no justice. This one of the single greatest pieces of music ever assembled. Refused was one of the greatest bands of all time, surpassed only by thier lead singer's new project, the greatest live band of all time, The (International) Noise Conspiracy. The Shape Of Punk To Come is a great record from every angle, not a single filler track on the whole thing, it's pure genius. Every band should be this talented. ... -

MxPx
I'd just like to address all the MxPx haters that think they need to come here and bash a good band. MxPx does not "Use God as a stepping stone", for one. I can't tell if you think they talk about God too much or not enough. If you think not enough, then you're stupid because just because someone likes God, it doesn't mean they hafta sing about nothing but God. If you think too much, then you're some dumb wierdo with no faith. Either way, go away. And as for METALCHICK (Oh f*ckin yeah!) Anyone you likes metal has, by default, no right to mock punk. Go listen to some Limp Bizkit, instead of making fun of bands just to piss people off. ... -

Great Swedish Rock
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful This record is great, it's one of the primary influences on my band. The song are short, but very well written. Every track is quick and catchy. Standouts include "Hate to Say I Told You So", "Die All Right!", "The Hives-Introduce the Metric System In Time", "Supply and Demand" and "Find Another Girl", the only slow song on the record. This CD is 26 minutes of enjoyment, buy it! ...
One Of My Favorites
Everytime I listen to this album, it gets better. It has to be my favorite album of the year. The songs have amazing lyrics, and are presented so incredibly. Standouts are "Naked Days" "Wrecking Ball" and my favorite, "Cellophane", but every track is great. It's a truly great album. ...
