Kiss Unmasked.....NOT!
Pros: 3 Ace songs
Cons: The decline of the makeup years
OK, I had bought this on cassette when it came out, and my friends and I thought it wasn't that bad. We were suprised to see that there were no Peter Criss songs on the album, so that was a bummer. And we thought that this would be the album where they take off their makeup..again another disappointment. But my favorite Kiss member has always been Ace Frehley, and he sings on 3 songs.
Anyway, as the CD came out, I sought out to re-complete my Kiss collection and I found this CD in a bargain bin. I bought it and loaded on my IPOD.
I listen to it now and I still feel the same. The album is decent although the songs that I didn't like too much are Shandi, What makes the world go around, and Torpedo Girl, which is kinda silly, I mean what is a Torpedo Girl? But the rest is not bad.
No poster is given in the cd, as the album originally had the last cartoon cell as the poster. If they included that in the cd, then it's worth the price. But if you can get this for a good low price, then I highly recommend adding it to your collection. ... -

Great Sophmore Effort
Pros: It's great british rock and roll
Cons: none
From the blistering opener of Brianstorm, this album just rocks. It's great British rock that soars and mellows at the right times. If you own and like their debut "Whatever People Say I am..." then you will defintely like this one. ...

Hooray for the Arctic Monkeys!
Pros: None
Cons: None
Leave it up to England to provide another rock group that brings us some good rockin' music. These kids have an original and unique sound that, compared to a lot of what's out there, blows anything away. In my opinion, one of the 10 best of 2006. ...

I can't shake this cd from my head..."
Pros: Good music and lyrics
Cons: none
This album is so cool, it put NIN on the map without any radio airplay. I used to hear my local hangout play a few tracks off of this cd. So I went to my local record store and bought it used. Boy, was that a buy!!
The songs on here make you want to dance. Every song on here is great - Head Like A hole, Terrible Lie, Sin, all make you want to dance Other songs like That's what I get, Ringfinger, Something I can Never Have, make you want to listen to the lyrics. You can feel the lonliness in "Something I can...", the insecurity of "Ringfinger", and the lesson we should have learned from "That's What I get".
This album is unlike any other album Trent has made since. Although "Closer" seems like it could have fit on this album nicely. A must have for any alternative collection! ... -

It's not Fragile
Pros: Double CD
Cons: Double CD
OK, the reason why I put "double cd" in both pro's and cons is because, first of all, I think it's awesome when you can buy a double cd from your favorite artist. The con here is that sometimes double albums (or cd's) are not that good. And when that happens, it makes it hard spending the time to listen to every track.
I do like NIN, but i am not sure if anyone (except for super die hard fans) could handle over 100 minutes worth of the same type of music. I tried and couldn't do it, although there are some good songs on here, but overall it's too much. I would rather sample the cd, and buy whatever songs you like off of a digital music store. ... -

Beautiful
Pros: Simply wonderful
Cons: none
Hope sounds wonderful, sexy and mysterious all rolled into one. Mazzy Star does not rock hard, make dance music, but they sure know how to make beautiful, moody, mellow music. Wonderful to sit back with some headphones on and enjoy. ...

The Beatles for the new millenium!
Pros: DVD audio 5.1
Cons: none
Ok, some will call this a way to make more $$, but isn't it time the world's greatest rock band did something so cool?
There are others who say that John and George would be rolling in the graves now. Nonsense! This all started because of George, and John would've been totally into the "art" aspect of the project. Remember, these guys approved all of the 70's compilation albums, and even they were cool.
The real treat here is that you can hear an 'extended' version here in 5.1 surround. The whole cd flows nicely and the songs blend in. But to actually hear each instrument, it's like being in the studio with them.
This is a must buy for any Beatles fan. ... -

Great Album
Pros: Has all the great songs
Cons: none
A great album to start off with. This album has the songs going in order of when they were released. If you're into goth, alternative, and dance, then this is for you. You wont be disappointed. Sioxsie has released many albums, so I would start off with this one. My favorites are Fireworks, Dazzle, Fear of the unknown. I actually love every song on here. ...

A Matter of getting this CD!!
Pros: it's almost 1:15 of MAIDEN!
Cons: they need to make a double album
Maiden has not been disappointing since Bruce has been back in the band. I feel this album is better than the Dance Of Death. The songs are longer, and are reflective of what's going on with this crazy world we live in. The nmore you listen to it, the more it grows on you. They're getting older, but they are excellent musicians and they're music is the best of what metal has to offer.
A must for any Maiden fan. ...
Muse is back
Pros: Great album
Cons: none
There's nothing better than hearing a band come inro it's own. This band mixes genres such as electronica, heavy rock, alternative, funk and melody to come up with "Black Holes & Reveleations".
This band sounds like they've got 4 or 5 guys instead of only having 3 members. Highly recommend for those who are a fan of those musical genres. ...
