One Helluva TV
2 of 3 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: GREAT picture
Cons: High Price
Quite simply put, BEST LCD EVER (except for the new XBR2&3)! I love everything about this TV.
The guy who complained about the the repair process should have gotten an extended service plan from the retailer. Regardless of brand, MANUFACTURERS' WARRENTIES ARE WORTTHLESS (at least on TVs)!!!
Anyway, I hooked up my HD digital cable using CABLECARD and my LG upconversion DVD player using a Monster brand HDMI cable and I absolutely could not be happier :)
Even on non-HD programming, this TV looks amazing (FAR better than any other HD LCD I looked at).
Overall, I'd have to say that I recommend this TV to anyone eyeballs in their head and a few bucks in their pocket.
I'm getting the 40" XBR2 for my Living Room next week!
I can't wait till I get a PS3 so I can play Blue-Ray, let alone the friggin' games! ...
Best LCD on the Standard Market

Cons: expensive (but you do get what you pay for)
I have been anticipating this TV since I got my XBR1 a while back (this one goes in the living room, the XBR1 goes in the basement bar).
I hooked it up to my PS3 and DirecTV HD-DVR. I also picked up a Sony DreamSystem Surround Sound (DAV-HDX500). Monster HDMI (Ultra 1000) for each; with Monster Optical and Digital Coax for sound from the PS3 and HD-DVR to the sound system.
Simply put, I could not be happier :)
Blu-Ray looks amazing, the sound is great, standard-def TV picture quality is more than acceptable, HDTV picture is staggeringly clear (also very smooth and easy on the eyes), PS3 video games are beautiful, and the X-Bar menu system is easier to use than any other HDTV I've gotten my hands on.
My only complaint: For such a large purchase a longer, more comprehensive warrenty would be nice. Only giving me one year practically forced me to get the store's Performance Service Plan.
Bonuses: 4 HDMI ports and 1080p resolution with 120hz frame rate make the TV effectively future proof. ...
