Cons: Almost none. Somtimes a bit pricey, but worth !
Experience and life has made the SM58 a top 5 choice.
Its rugged construction assures it will last your whole life if you care for it.
Put on a "foam cover" and it will be ethernal.
The responsiveness of this mic if well suited for any kind of vocals and even to pick up some acoustic guitars, though it might need a little kick on the gain.
It will serve you very well, but please, no cheap cables.
My complaint is that it does not have the on/off switch (maybe I have older models...) and the body could be less slick, i.e. a bit more coarse so it would hold much better on the mic stand grip.
Overall, you can't go wrong with this mic. It's irrestible :-) ...
