This is my current recomendation for virus protection. I feel this is currently the most robust virus protection for the home PC. However PC-cillian has room for improvment with spyware protection. And the spam protection doesn't offer much granularity. ...

This comes last on my list. Although quite popular, Norton AntiVirus continues to be quite problematic. System resource hog, poor support, unreliable, settings are cryptic, security features often prohibit legitimate pc functions, and uninstalling often requires an exorcism. ...

Cons: Needs better control for thresholds
Nice little program to filter out those male enhancement e-mails. Catches most stuff right out of the box. I would like to see better control over the detection threshold like the corporate edition. ...
