Surprisingly Entertaining
This was the first time I saw the remake as an adult. I hadn't seen it since I was a kid in the late 70's. Jessica Lang is SO 70's in her silver outfits and talk of Zodiak signs and therapy. I was surprised by Jeff Bridges response to Jessica's predicament at the very end of the film. I thought it was good, mature. However, I did notice that on the DVD version there were some parts cut out. I didn't see the scene where the sailors are peeping into Jessica's window, the scene where Charles Grodin's hat is shown after Kong steps on him, and a scene where Kong overturns a car on the street. Yet it was still worth watching. ...
