Pros: price, in-body image stabilization, solid construction, image quality, lens availability

Cons: slow burst, minimum megapixels

I have had this camera for about 1 year and I really like it. I find the image quality (sharpness, color, etc) to be better than many cameras costing much more and having better features, including those cameras with double the megapixels. I love that it is compatible with older and readily available K-mount Pentax lenses, and has image stabilization built into the body. I also like that it takes AA batteries - get some good rechargeables and you will still be ok even if you can't find an outlet; you can always find disposables.

The menu is sometimes unneccessarily tricky to navigate, the auto-focus can be slow and wander, and has difficulty in the dark. The viewfinder could be brighter (as with most DSLRs).

I wish it had HDMI out, more megapixels, faster burst rate - especially when shooting RAW, and a RAW+JPEG setting. But for the price, this is a great camera. ...
