Description

The Underwood Typewriter Company was bought by Olivetti in 1959. When they purchased, the decided to keep the popular Underwood name around & brand a few of their Olivetti typewriters with that name. This Underwood 315 is one of those rebranded & extremely popular ultra portable typewriters. The 315 is a clone of the Olivetti 31 & Dora. This typewriter is light weight & is ready to write. This particular one comes in a gorgeous teal & white scheme & has script typeface which looks like typing in cursive. Mechanically speaking, this typewriter is in great shape. All the keys strike as they should without sticking. Functions like margin bell, backspace, margin release, & color ribbon selector are working as they should. A new ribbon was just wound on the spools & is ready to type for a while. Cosmetically speaking, this typewriter is in good shape. The paint on the typewriter is in pretty good shape with just a few light scratches on the ribbon cover which show up only under certain lighting situations. The typewriter is pretty clean inside & out. This comes with a carrying box that is a bit beat up, but works well still for storing & transporting your typewriter. Also included is the original owner's manual. Please see photos for details on the condition of the typewriter. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you for viewing this listing!
