    I bought it in June 02. I have since brought it back to Toshiba twice to have repairs done to it for not rebooting properly. I have found it unstable compared to the HP and the Casio. I am lucky to get more than 5 useful hours out of it. I take notes... on it for night school without losing the complete charge ONLY if the backlight is off.If I were to buy one now (Sep02), I would probably wait until the Pocket PC software is optimized for the XScale and get the e550 which has the same form factor.All in all, I love the Pocket PC!     Pros: Light, thin outstanding sound

    Cons: Battery not removable

    I have been looking for MP3 players and my old E310 sat on a shelf gathering dust. I was getting ready to sell it when I casually glanced through the manual and noticed that it played MP3 files. So I ripped some CDs using Real Player, saved the files... on my SD card and put it into the E310. I was astounded at the quality of the sound coming out of this machine. Anybody out there looking for MP3 players (which are all pretty expensive) should consider this as a viable alternative (plus you get all the other features). These are selling for $60 to $80 on ebay these days.Toshiba doesn't say anything about the sound chip on the machine but all I can say is it is unbelievable! Read more Less
