RF Online PC Game

RF Online is a "massively multiplayer" persistentworld roleplaying game that is set in a faroff galaxy called Novus. The main dynamic, of both the game's plot and its gameplay, stems from the inherent enmity between the game's three main factions: the Accretian Empire, the Holy Alliance Cora, and the Bellato Union. These three factions are at odds not only because of differences in their philosophical perspectives, but because they are all competing for the same limited resources, and each ultimately seeks sovereignty over the entire galaxy. RF Online gamers can choose to play as a character from any of the three factions.

The Accretian Empire is a faction of androids and automatons, and its strengths are in technology and engineering. Its legions are mostly unfettered by mortal concerns, and accomplished soldiers gain the ability to transform into gun turrets. By contrast, the faerieish people of the Holy Alliance Cora rely on spirituality for their strength, and achieve their great power through magic and an affiliation with nature. Advanced members of this faction eventually gain access to powerful pets. Somewhere between these extremes of science and magic, the Bellato Union comprises mostly humanlike constituents, whose greatest assets may be adaptability. Bellato Union characters can use all sorts of weapons, and eventually, pilot powerful 'mechs.

Skirmishes between members of different factions can take place any time, in nearly any contested region, but the most prominent disputed area is probably the "core mine." Battles take place here daily, and only characters from the winning faction are permitted to gather the abundant and valuable resources here until the next scheduled battle. ~ T.J.
