Keith Whitley is such a talented performer, what a shame that he had to go rest high on that mountain so soon.

For a non country music fan this is a very good album. I am very impressed with the ballads and vocals.

  • All Music Guide

The Essential Keith Whitley is an excellent single-disc retrospective of the late country singer/songwriter, including such classic songs as "I Wonder Do You Think of Me," "If You Think I'm Crazy Now, " "I'm Losing You All Over Again, " and "Miami, My Amy." Although it concentrates on his earlier recordings, it is stil the best, most comprehensive collection assembled on the tragically short-lived country star.
