The AirPlus DI-614+ combines the latest advancements in 802.11b silicon chip technology from Texas Instruments and robust firewall security features. The DI-614+ is ideal for those creating their first wireless network, as well as for more advanced users looking for additional management settings and policy-based content filtering. Filters can be set based on MAC address, IP address, URL and/or Domain Name.

A simple yet intelligent, Web-based setup wizard makes the DI-614+ easy for any user to quickly and securely connect computers to share a high-speed Internet connection, files, resources, games or just to communicate. An integrated 4-port switch allows direct connection of up to four computers. Several wireless clients can also securely connect to the network using 64, 128, or 256-bit encryption.     My first wireless router

    I was able to talk to D-Link support within 10 minutes on a Saturday night and they knew what protocol my DSL provider implements and helped me with setting the router up. It works very well with the D-Link wireless Card, but I noticed that if my pho...ne [a 2.4 GHz cordless] is off the hook, it interferes with the wireless connection. Once the call is completed though, everything starts working as if nothing has happened. I will experiment with changing the channels on the phone and/or router.Ability to configure the firewall is rudimentary but I have not compared with other routers. I am not using the firewall on the router, relying instead on Zone Alarm on the PCs. Read more Less

    I have had the same problems. I have to reset the router every couple of hours or days. It just stops responding to arps. I have jumped through all kinds of hoops with the manufacturer so far they have only offered to replace the unit, which is the t...hird one we have tried.Oh yes, I used the latest rom.
