The research question asked in this paper is: 'How can current best practices in adult education enhance the basic training of flight service specialists?' A review of the current state of training and the recent research into adult learning has attempted to answer this question. To review the current state of training, recent graduates and instructors were interviewed for their perspectives on the state of training and what should be improved.
