Pros: Very easy to use, good sound, large screen

Cons: No EQ, difficult to setup wireless sync

I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience so far with my new Zune. It has a good sound with the right headphones and is super easy to use. I already had all of my music ripped into Windows Media Play and the Zune software found it all and pushed it down to my device, all I had to do was plug it in. Overall experience has been extremely positive.

The only problem I had was getting the wireless sync to work. Turns out it was a mis-configuration in my wireless router but the Microsoft/Zune support was completely useless in this area. Linksys spent over three hours with me and we finally got it working.

The only feature I would like to see added is an EQ. I understand the previous models had one and it was removed for some reason with this one. I would like to have better control over the sound but with the right headphones, it does sound awesome.

Can get it cheaper

Pros: It was so funny when I downloaded a track of a cat meowing and played it in front of my dog.

Cons: Well I can get it cheaper from Microsoft. Got to work for them though

It's got a nice big screen. Allthough I can't download movies on DVD shrink it works realy great. By the way DVD Shrink is a program that alows you to download Movies. In conclusion, It is a really great gift for young teens.

GREAT Digital Media Player

Pros: Awesomely Fun To use. BIGG Screen-and Clarity. Sturdy and SExy Design

Cons: Battery life Could have been a little bit longer But it's still good!

i have both the ipod 80gb classic and the new 80gb zune.

ipod advantages over zune
-itunes is a bit better than zune markerketplace
-battery life
-has extras like clock timer and games(which i love)
-ipod is only a bit slimmer than zune-but this does'nt count for me bcuz you have to definetly get a case for the ipod so it does'nt scratch- so they end up being the same size.

zune advantages over ipod
-screen( i luv watching movies on this thing- and they look 10x better than on the ipod screen)
-user friendly interface(my 40 year old mom things the zune is way easier to use) and it's and fun to use the zune
-zune pad is better than and funner to use than ipod clickwheel.
-radio
-video output through headphone jack unlike the ipod which you have to buy like a 50+dock to view ipod movies through tv. for the zune to watch on tv i only paid 10 for av jack.
-zune also has a very sleek cool design and won't get scratch easily like ipod chrome back which got some scratches despite always having it in a case


in the end i love my zune so much more-im 16 by the way
also me and my friend share music wirelessly in school- so you can listen to each song that you get from them 3x then it expires- who cares though it's still very cool. you can any pictures from them forever and also keep podcasts forever.

also in cnet it is the top mp3 player and ipod classic does'nt even make the top five. the ipod nano is in 4th place but not the 80gb ipod classic

by the all of my friends are impressed with my new zune. and one of my friends when i told her that i got a zune she's like -eww you got a zune why? ipod is so much better. then i said well have you even used one -then i let her use it at the end of it she loved the wheel and she said- screw the ipod this is better

Pros: design, ease of use, tons of cool features, fm radio, wifi, send a song to another zune friend wirelessly, plays anything from any store (but itunes) ...

Cons: bigger hard drive. music store

much more configurable, many nice things u can do, if u love music i will love the ease of use. this thing has been nicely done avoiding mistakes of current mp3 player and adding new touch. it sincronizes nicely with windows media center, xbox 360, just a few click.


entertainment with style.


maybe microsoft is finding its roots....
