    Fantastic Music!

    I first heard Eddie Jobson with U.K. (Eddie Jobson (keyboards and violin), Alan Holdsworth (guitar), Bill Bruford (Drums), and John Whetton (Bass, Vocals, later of Asia fame) This album (Zinc) led me to search for other older efforts by Jobson inclu...ding Curved Air From the early Seventies. Zinc is fantastic! Great grooves, very heavy keyboards, lots of off beat rhythms, and just enough guitar to give it edge. It is not for anyone looking for early eighties pop! I classify this one in my collection as (Atypical) Art Rock. Although the lyrics are not the greatest I have ever heard, they are inconsequential. I don't listen to this album for the lyrics (and I'm a song writer). Eddie is not a virtuoso vocalist either, however his vocals are a perfect match for the musical style of the album. In all, one of the absolute favourites of my collection. Read more Less

    he is one of the hottest keyboardists and pianists i have ever known, not to mention his endless talents on electricviolin, vocals and a very imaginitive beautiful wild songwriter. i love all his stuff, i wish though he would record more and more sol...o piano compositions because he is great at it, i have two of his piano compositions calle: "the darkroom" and "disturbance in vienna" on private music label...the album is called: piano One and it has numerous pianists, but i wish eddie jobson would record a full solo piano album.
