In addition to his blues-rock-inflected Southern Gentlemen, shred-guitar legend David T. Chastain busied himself near the turn of the millennium with Zanister, a band which fit neatly into the revival of melodic, prog-tinged power metal (think Judas Priest or Iron Maiden) gaining favor in some headbanging circles.
