A JPop artist who was the object of a label bidding war at audition, Yui started off as a teenage poet, before taking music and voice lessons and working her way up to pop star. A singer, songwriter, and guitar player, Yui released her first fulllength album (From Me To You) in February of 2006. The albums was a hit, reaching number four on the charts, and was accompanied by a number of hit singles.
