The first YuGiOh release for the console, Dawn of Destiny adapts the explosively popular fantasy trading card game for play on Microsoft's Xbox. The title follows the official card battling rules, while bringing the expansive YuGiOh bestiary to life in full 3D. Duelists can watch the results of the cards they play come alive in realtime 3D battles, or use the game's Library feature to browse the hundreds of monsters featured in the game. The total number of cards available in Dawn of Destiny is well over 1,000.

Up to three decks can be built and stored, and the game's deckbuilding interface is designed to be easy to use. The singleplayer mode allows fans to duel against favorite character from the animated series, while the game's "Link Duel Mode" lets two human opponents go headtohead. As with many earlier YuGiOh releases from Konami, Dawn of Destiny comes packaged with three (actual) game cards, including the Egyptian God Monster card "Winged Dragon of Ra" (a collector's item which may not be used in official rules duels). ~ T.J. Pros: They have the right cards, atk, and def

Cons: Game is slow paced- view too far from duel

Well they did a few things right in this game. One, they have the right cards and atk and def points etc. Sound is horrible- literally gets old in minutes. Really, don't port a game straight from Japan! They really should allow people to have cus...tom soundtracks and have music from the show. Its terrible that there's no human voices used in the game. I mean they have them for the show. It can't be that expensive to have each character say a few lines- of course that would get annoying fast, so there should be an option to turn it off. The camera view is too far from the duel. I can barely see anything and it should show the monster on the field when it's summoned. It really takes away from the feel of the show when there's hardly anything like it. Making a deck took me twenty minutes to figure out. They should really tell you what you're supposed to be doing after a duel- not just send you off to do it without instruction. I've loved the show ever since I recieved a vhs tape about it- and I've even collected quite of few rare cards- so it's not like I'm just bashing this game. Anyways, it was poorly made and rushed. They should really give this kind of game more of a plot, like the show, kind of tie in with it. The animation effects when monsters attack each other are horrible. I'm sad to say this but POKEMON STADIUM's graphics and overall were better than this. There just isn't much variety in this game. I wouldn't recommend this game but, I would recommend Halo or Halo 2 on xbox live or xbconnect. Read more Less
