Best known as the bassist for Killing Joke, Youth recorded a solo album three years after leaving that band with ex-Hitman Ben Watkins on vocals and several instruments. The Empty Quarter, released in 1984, was intended to be the soundtrack to a play and featured mostly electronic sounds.
