A love story between a great boss of a great bookstore and a cheft of a little bookstore at the corner.

I really enjoyed watching this movie. The more I watch it the more I want to see it. I think that both Meg ryan and Tom Hanks were terrific. In addition, I love the chemistry between them along the movie.

Cons: I think it needed more emotions
I have to admit it needed a little more of intensity in the film because in some parts there was lack of emotions and also of news.Kathleen Kelly never seemed to show Joe what the really felt about him and also she must have fought more for the store,it seemed she wasnt very interested in save it.After this,yeah,i couldnt deny Tom Hanks performing was really brilliant,hes a very good actor so does Meg Ryan.Maybe there were some lines which were absent in the plot,who knows? I liked the plot but maybe there must have been a little more of ideas to make the film more interesting.

Pros: Simple Basic Love Story
Cons: I little cheeky
Very cute, simple love story. Just plain simple entertainment. Its nice in todays world of movies that need to shock and amaze us with special effects, gore,and nudity, that a nice little love story comes along that can make you feel just simply good inside. Hot chocolate and roses.

i love this movie! the chemistry between hanks and ryan is unforseen and becomes inevitable! i think this movie has an outstanding storyline to it and should be cherished for years to come! i have grown very fond of hanks' work over the years and have begun to enjoy ryan's!

YES,YES,YES I love this MOVIE! Meg and Tom certainly proved to have that never-ending chemistry that we all have loved to watch since their last film ( sleepless in seattle ) together. I hope Nora Ephron continues to combine this two great actors again in perhaps another futuristic love story. kudos to Nora Ephron !

This is my maiden attempt to write a review. It gives me immense pleasure in writing this review of this Movie. I am not sure how many times I viewed this movie perhaps my first English movie I viewed for the 'n' time.
The uniqueness of this movies is the histronics of both Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. They are both impeccable in their demeanour. The language, its presentation and its narrative skills makes the movie very enjoyable. It is undoubtely a modern classic.
Tom Hanks has proved himself that is a very versatile actor, who could bring life to a character, though it may be a mediocre role.
The characters which has been portrayed come to life by the persons who enacted it. They both make a very lovely pair and should continue acting in many more good movies and entertain their fans for years to come.

This is a typical "chick" movie and I love every minute of it. The movie stars Hanks and Ryan in yet another talented chemistry ridden episode of love and comedy. Men will hate this movie because it is mushy, but it is a great movie for a woman who loves romantic comedies.

The characters are good. The story was amusing. But, it has all been seen before. Once again, by a far stretch of imagination two uncompatable people are brought together as a couple through a wild series of events. It is Sleepless in Seatle or An Affair to Remember, only with different names. I thought it was a great nap. My wife loves the movie. If you watch it with your girlfriend or wife make her watch a kung-fu movie when it is over.

This is the most fabulous movie I have ever seen. If I could write the story of my life before I lived it, I would write it close if not exactly the same as this movie. Because I wish it might happen to me. I love it! :o)

Not even a worthy cause of a modern day rendition of 'shop around the corner'. This movie was about 2 hours of the longest part of my life. As I waded through the blah blah blah. It was just a pity that I was witnessing such a waste of 2 great actors. Why can't Hollywood leave old classics alone. This was simply horrible! Go back to the drawing board and come up with someone that is believable and a little more charming.

This film is mush on a stick. Take two likeable and bankable actors and get them to repeat their roles. Why not? Everyone loved it so much the first time. Sleepless in Seattle became the cliche movie for men to use to seduce women into thinking they're SNAG's. A nice cosy feelgood movie. You've Got Mail is even cosier because its not even slightly original, and everyone can nestle in even further into predictability and nausea, cosy up to that loved one and know that nothing will suprise you, or excite you. How lovely. If you have any sense wait until you're so old and drugged out you could watch a test pattern and find it haert warming. Buy the original if you like mush, and stick this one up your grandmothers $#$#!

This is by far the greatest movie of all time. It has the two best actors of all time, Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks who work wonderfully together. The setting is beautiful and very realistic because nearly all of the locations are real (on the DVD version there is a map of where the movie was shot that shows all of the locations). YOU MUST SEE THIS MOVIE! You will not be disappointed.

Aside from a really cute romance, Meg Ryan and her bookstore made New York City seem absolutely cozy and romantic... This one is a "curl-up-on-the-sofa" movie... Get some popcorn and your sweetie and enjoy this snuggly movie...
