    Words can't begin describe the incredible, quite singular mood this album creates, the overwhelming feeling it gives. It's hauntingly beautiful and rather stunning in its lyrical simplicity and straightforwardness yet ultimately elusive and d...eeply mysterious. While not as cohesive or immersive a musical experience as her previous masterpiece, Moon Pix, You Are Free is certainly the most musically diverse Cat Power album to date, and track-for-track, probably her best, as well.
