.where the renaissance masters and yoshi1 mixes had elements of trance, hard house and tech house, they stick to the dark sound of deep house in this mix. disc 1 (westcoast) opens with a slightly predictable chem bros. mix, but gets a good grip on th...e second track, right until it gets jumping right around track 4. jazz-like fusion is more pronounced on tracks 6, 10 and 13, classic sounding stuff rubbing elbows with the muted, yet urgent, sounds of ortus and hot lizard.disc 2 (eastcoast) starts with a great power vocal and drives smoothly throught the first tracks, but from the deep dish remix of dusted until the wispy vocal of 'man don't cry', the mix becomes relentless, with unyielding tunes such as oliver lieb's 'afrika' and richard morel's 'funny car'. it seems that no matter what they serve, deep dish come up with unconventional mixes that are beyond the cds or vinyls they're pressed on.
