Lo-fi Scottish popsters Yatsura (a.k.a. Urusei Yatsura, a moniker which caused the group to run afoul of the Japanese comic book and cartoon franchise of the same name) comprised singers/guitarists Fergus Lawrie and Graham Kemp, bassist Elaine Graham and her drummer brother Ian. Formed in Glasgow during the mid-1990s, the band soon debuted with All Hail Urusei Yatsura, a 12-inch issued on the Hipster label; a series of incredibly noisy gigs as well as an electrifying John Peel radio session...
