Synopsis: Yanni - Live at the Acropolis (1993)

Synopis: The new age superstar Yanni gives a concert in his homeland (Greece) after more than two decades in America, accompanied by the renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The production employed army of lighting and sound technicians is lead by six time emmy award winning director, George Vera. The historic beauty of the 2,000 year old Herod Atticus Theatre (which is beneath the Parthenon) adds an extra special emotional element to the performance. Songs include "Santorini," "Keys to Imagination," "Standing in Motion" and more. The video includes backstage footage, production interviews, and scenes from the making of the concert.

   I remember when this first aired on PBS in the states and I was Blown Away! There are so many words to describe Yanni's music and all I can say is that IT'S PURE MAGIC! If you never see or hear a New Age concert than you don't know what you're missing! Yanni is so brilliant! The magestry of the settings, the light, the set and the music will make a fan out of anyone who has never experienced classical music. Watch this once and you'll never forget it! ...

   I think this concert was a remarkable performance by Yanni. He played very well and it is directed very well too. This is a collector's item. Its a must-have for any music lover.
