    Customer service is abysmal

    Pros: sounds OK

    Cons: poor customer service

    I recently bought the YSP-3000 primarily because of space and the fact that Yamaha claimed you could watch movies with a video ipod thru their optional YDS-10 ipod dock. It didn't work. So I contacted customer service and they informed me i...t wouldn't do what they claimed. Their actual response was..."Sorry about that." After speaking to Chuck, a customer service supervisor, he asked that I send them a fax or email showing proof of purchase and they would get back to me and see what they could do. Now, he ignores my emails, ignores my phone calls.....sort of a "let them eat cake attitude" They have since edited their website to show that it will NOT allow you to watch video thru the YDS-10. I have to say, this is the worst experience I have had with customer service. I will never buy their products again, and will encourage others to not buy as well. Customer service is as important as the product. Their products may be OK...but if you have a problem you may get the same response I got........."SOR
