Pros: Sir Ian McKellen & Patrick Stewart staring in the show.
Cons: Wolverine has a really bad temperament in a school that is meant to teach kids how to use their powers for the good.
"X-Men" is based on the classic Marvel comic book series.
Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), plays a hairy, hot-tempered, instant-healing mutant who somehow wound up with long steal claws that retract into and burst forth from his knuckles. He uses them as weapons, when he has to.
The jest of the story begins when a teenage girl mutant named Rogue (Anna Paquin) and Wolverine are attacked by a rivalrous, evil-doing, super-powerful mutant Magneto (Sir Ian McKellen) and a few of his followers. Storm (Halle Berry) and Cyclops (James Marsden), students of goodly Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), run interference with Magneto and his band of brawlers. Then they lead Rogue and Wolverine to "Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters" (youngsters in this case means child and teenage mutant social outcasts with very specialized powers).
The ongoing conflict between Magneto & Xavier, the mutant students learn, is because Magneto intends to empower an instrument to genetically alter humans into mutants. Xavier believes this will likely have genocidal deadly consequences. It is Professor Xavier's job to teach the young mutants to use their powers for good, not evil. He has to help them recognize that Magneto is abusing his powers so that they don't become like him.
So it's up to Professor Xavier's professorship skills to teach the "gifted students" to stop Magneto. Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are as perfectly matched as Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta-Jones are in "Chicago." X-Men definitely brought to light one of the most intriguing questions, do mutants exist and if they do, do they possess super-humna powers. Apart from leaving us all thinking, the movie did a brilliant job by exhibiting all the super-humna powers the mutants do possess in the movie and by showing the 2 diferent mind set's that do exist amongst us all, mutants or no-mutants. The difference between good and bad.
X-Men started a new trend in the line of scientific fiction movies and was surely eye-candy all the way

I thought this movie was so cool, X-Men has always been one of my favourite cartoons when i was young and to see it live was awesum. I loved the effects and the Cast was great. Just need to use more powers :P

this is a terrific movie loved it. the first comic book I ever bought was the incredible X-men #1
and they did a very good adaptation. I wish they would have started with more of the original characters ,

Guys...I just wanna say that I love this movie.You guys (and gals)act real well:).Anyways...when I first heard about your show was when my frends at school asked me if I wanted to play X-men.I thought it would be fun so.....i said yes.I played and I was Rouge.My friend Jon-nightcrawler , my frend Catherine-Storm , my friend Jose-Wolverine , a guy ervin-cyclops , a frend claire-shadowcat-or also kitty- , and last a girl Rosalba-Jean Grey. Well I played and i had fun.And when I watched your show I thought it was kewl!Well thats all 4 now.bai~bai
