Team 17's quirky, turnbased war game goes 3D in this release for home computers and 128bit generation consoles. The added dimension allows players' to view the action firstperson, from above in "blimp" perspective or from behind their invertebrate warriors. It also creates yet another variable for which to account when firing off any of the game's numerous, unpredictable weapons. Battlefield landscapes are randomly generated and, of course, fully deformable.

Other additions include a deeper training mode and improved AI opponents for engaging solo play. Worms 3D is designed to retain the style and feel of its 2D predecessors, with the return of such favorite armaments as banana bombs, "Holy Hand Grenades," and exploding sheep, as well as deceptively simplelooking gameplay that seldom fails to surprise.

This version of the game comes to retail a few months after the other console editions, allowing developers time to add multiplayer support; unlike its PlayStation 2 and GameCube counterparts, the Xbox version of Worms 3D is playable online, through the Xbox Live service. ~ T.J.     Pros: Great Multiplayer Fun

    Cons: Medium long load times

    This game is fantastic, there is basically nothing I would say bad about it. If you have three friends, or a multitap you can play the best party game you have had your hands on since Counterstrike! There are a whole bunch of hilarious weapons like... holy hand grenades, exploding sheep, and jump jets. The environments are completly destructable, and they are random so no map is ever the smae thing twice. The best part about the off game is that you can build your own worm, you can choose its face, its clothing (if needed) and even the way it talks.GREAT ASS GAME!!!!!!!!! Read more Less
