... others are stealing so blamelessly to dreate their own niche in recent dance music's history. Whether it's disco or hip-hop, funk, electro, acid house or techno, Kraftwerk were the main menu for the course in order to perpetrate dance floors on a... level where it all becomes massive consumption. BUT here is a group of people, for ones a tribute band to KW, for themselves not even citing the band as their influences elsewhere collect Yellow Magic Orchestra, Telex and John Cage, which is a typical statement for synthesizer-bands born in mid-seventies. 'The World of Tomorrow' is obviously a replica to most Kraftwerk favourites throughout but still this copycat is more like a preservation of the originals. In this case songs like 'Valentina', 'Bill Gates', 'Looking Down on London' may sound like re-arranged titles for 'The Model', 'The Man-machine' or 'Tour de France', but again Komputer's 'nostalgia for the future' just lifts up the artefacts of today, the same way KW did years before them. And in the end this magnificent synthesizer-pop of theirs accompanied with pleasant vocals, both human and robotic is just one big, big plus and the world of tomorrow indeed. Read more Less
